Game 12 - Tampa Rays

After a much needed week off of traveling for my parents, we headed out towards Tampa, FL. We couldn't pick up our RV until Monday morning, so we were forced to push back our visit to Turner Field in Atlanta until Friday, 6/15. We had two days to travel the 1,000 or so miles from St. Louis to Tampa, and we would need nearly every minute of it!

We decided to rent a smaller RV for the East Coast portion of the trip because we planned to spend a fair amount of time in major cities like New York and Washington, DC. Unfortunately, the first RV we picked up looked like it was used to run drugs across the border the night before we picked it up. I think their was a mini meth lab in the bathroom, too. Because this was a family friendly trip, we decided to trade in the 'tenement on wheels' for a different one in Tampa. Our second rig was much better, and we made it just in time for the Tampa game against the Mets.

Well, there isn't much to say about Tropicana Field. It felt like we were watching a major league game at the Prairie Capital Convention Center in Springfield. Big Jim was not a fan, either.

Pros: The team is fun to watch?
Cons: Prairie Capital Convention Center, and Elton John wasn't playing for us.

  2. Springfield Cardinals! Get your history straight, man! There was never a game played at PCCC! Only Elton and Brett Michaels.
